Northstar 2006 Stella Maris Red Wine
91 points - “Editor's Choice” - Wine Enthusiast - December 31, 2010
Stella Maris is priced well below the other Northstar wines, but can stand on its own with this kind of quality. Bursting with tangy berries and lively acidity, it feels sculpted and refreshing, deep and lingering. A lick of mocha and a finishing hint of licorice add to the pleasure.
Northstar 2006 Stella Maris Columbia Valley
89 points - Wine Spectator - November 30, 2010
Polished, peppery and appealing for its glowing core of plum and blackberry fruit under a layer of spice and char. Shows intensity without much weight, but the finish could be a tad longer. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2013.
Northstar 2005 Stella Maris Red Blend Columbia Valley
90 points - Wine Enthusiast - December 31, 2009
This pleasing blend yields a spicy, fruity wine with sweet strawberry and cherry candy flavors. Though two thirds new oak was used, it is not prominent. Smooth and accessible, this delicious wine is accented with aromas of sweet straw.

Tart, dark and raw in texture, this is very chewy, with cherry and smoke flavors that last on the finish.
Northstar 2004 Stella Maris Red Blend Columbia Valley

There was no slippage for Stella in this second vintage; in fact, it's a clear step up from the 2003. 88% Merlot. 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot, this titillates with sweet raspberry fruit, leading into chocolate and cherry. It's a lively delicious wine, that tops out at 14.5% alcohol.
